This piece is inspired by a short story by Andy Weir, “The Egg”, which proposes the idea that everyone is reincarnation of everyone else, bringing the multiplicity of our universe to a singularity – the self. Playing around with this idea, I incorporated Morse codes into the music that spell out various versions of my name, resulting in a rhythmic “self-against-self” counterpoint.
