I have been learning Indian classical music for a while, and wanted to write this piece based on some of my favourite ragas. Here I used three ragas—Kafi, Bhimpalasi, Bageshree—all from the Kafi thaat (parent raga). As these ragas share the same notes, I hope to explore the differences in melodic nuances within each, put into the context of an electronic work with minimalist influences.
